Day 306: Strawberry Hummus
Yield: 2-3 cups
Time (Start to Finish): 15 min
Ingredients:
1 can (16 oz) chickpeas or garbanzo beans, drained
¼ cup liquid from can of beans
2-3 lemons, juiced, about 4 Tbsp
2 Tbsp tahini
salt
4-5 strawberries
2 tbsp honey
toasts
Directions:
1. Take a food processor and put in all the ingredients.
2. Blend and adjust the flavoring, more lemon juice, another strawberry, salt or pepper
3. Serve with toasts for breakfast!
Rating: 4 strawberries
Notes: This is a simple hummus recipe and I changed it up so it was a little more sweet and breakfasty. The honey adds a lot of flavor and I just love strawberries. Also, the beans are a nice protein kick in the morning. A classic hummus has garlic and olive oil, so you can alter this one to make a savory one. You can even add basil or something to this one!
