Yield: 4 slices toast
Time (Start to Finish): 30 min
Ingredients:
1 slices sourdough bread
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 sprig rosemary
1 Tbsp oregano
salt and pepper
1-2 Tbsp butter
bacon bits
Directions:
1. Preheat a skillet to med high
2. In a bowl whisk the egg and the milk
3. Chop the rosemary and the oregano and throw in the mix
4. Add salt and pepper to taste
5. Butter the pan
6. Dip the bread in the mixture and cook until both sides of the bread are toasted
7. Sprinkle bacon bits on top and serve with butter or syrup
Rating: 4.5
Notes: I would for sure serve this with a dollop of crème fraiche instead of the syrup. These were out of this world. You must try it! Use different spices, but these two were perfect. You can even just use Italian seasoning. I prefer fresh spices, but if you need to you can use dried. I made these again before going to work, but I would eat these any time of day.
